BELIEVE IN THE POWER AND SPIRITS OF BRIDGES
AN ORGANIZATION OF EDUCATION AND COMMUNICATION BY THOSE WHO
Infinity Institute is a non-profit organization seeking to promote understanding in legal and compliance related culture and practices across the Pacific Ocean. In the past several decades, the world has witnessed accelerating exchange in science and technology between the U.S. and China. At the mean time the two countries’ economy has also become deeply intertwined. What largely lags behind is the understanding of each other's values, fundamental principles in legal institutions and compliance practices in international trade. The lack of understanding has triggered devastating legal consequences, stirred unnecessary conflicts and eroded trust between the two countries.
We believe in the power of communications in shaping perspectives and ideologies to form a more harmonious world. We believe that mutual understanding between the U.S. and China comes from one-step-at-a-time hard work from both sides.
One of the current primary goals of Infinity Institute is to raise awareness on relevant U.S. laws and policies that have extended jurisdiction in the rest of the world among the key stakeholders. With our world class expertise, we help organizations and companies understand the ins and outs of compliance, related law enforcement, gauge the larger context and predict long term outlook, ultimately help formulate strategies protecting business and scientist communities that have engaged in US China cross-continental partnership and collaborations.
We believe that only if good understanding has been reached among the key stakeholders, true understanding among broader groups in the society can be achieved.
As a policy advocacy group, we also strive to influence policy change on both sides to create a better institutional and cultural environment for the key stakeholders and Chinese American community holding heritage from both great powers of the world.
We have brought together a group of people with expertise and extensive experience in legal, compliance, diplomacy and international business, dedicated to build a bridge for the greater good.
THE CONSEQUENCES ARE REAL
Although China opposes US long-arm jurisdiction, often times the consequences are real when certain US laws are violated outside US territory. It is a priority for entities doing international business or cross-continental research to establish basic compliance programs for operational risk control.
OUR TRAINING PROGRAMS
Through workshops, conferences and online training programs, the Institute intends to help the business community from mainland China and Chinese Americans in the states understand the basics and operational risks pertaining to US anti-corruption laws, sanction laws, export control laws and anti-money laundering laws, etc…
